It's Not Perfect, But It's So Much Better
Happy Thanksgiving Duval! I hope you're all able to enjoy a day to feast with family and friends before we head into the Christmas season and farther down the stretch. Although the Jaguars are 3-7, I believe there are so many things that we can be thankful for when it comes to this season. I won't be able to list them all, so I'll talk about a few key points. Although the Jaguars have lost a lot of close games, I would still call it a major improvement since fans have literally gone for months without watching the team be competitive in a game. This season it's only been from the time one game ends to the next.
Perhaps the most telling stat of this is that the Jaguars, like I mentioned last weekend, is that the Jaguars are the only team with a losing record to have a positive points differential on the season. The matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs was both the first time the Jaguars haven't led a game and have lost by more than a possession, but there are very correctable reasons for this. Jacksonville gave up six points through missed field goals which would've made the game much closer and there were two plays, being a dropped pass by Christian Kirk and a touchdown reversed by a ineligible man downfield call. Now these aren't arguments that the Jaguars deserved to win the game, I still believe that the Chiefs would have done enough to win and ultimately I mention this to show that the Jaguars weren't far off. For the first time in a long time, there hasn't been a week where the opponent has went without a concern when facing us that Sunday.
Jacksonville Is Generating Turnovers Through Their Young Stars

For the first time in a few years, Jacksonville has promising stars in its secondary that it can build around for years to come. Tyson Campbell and Andre Cisco have combined for five interceptions this season which has been a great change of pace for a defense that has struggled to turn over the ball. While Tyson Campbell ascended to a star months ago and arguably even last year, Andre Cisco has broken out more recently and continued that trend in the Chiefs game. While the Jaguars defense was being taken advantage of all over the field, Cisco was able to deliver huge hits on Kansas City receivers to give Jacksonville the breaks it needed. I'm hoping to see Juju Smith-Schuster return to action against Los Angeles this weekend, but I'm very thankful for the physicality that Cisco has added to his game.
Travis Etienne Is Becoming An NFL Superstar

Although Travis Etienne had a tough outing against a Chiefs defense that made him the focal point all week, Etienne was among the top three rushers over the previous few games before heading into Arrowhead Stadium. Etienne has been more than advertised in a year where expectations may have been curbed for him. With the departure of James Robinson, Etienne has rushed for massive games and quickly become a name that NFL fans are familiar with. Wednesday's news of the addition of Darrell Henderson Jr. to the squad should keep Etienne less banged up and more energized for his heavy workloads. Let's enjoy the heir apparent to Maurice Jones-Drew!
Rejoice, Trevor Lawrence Is It

The early season presented many ups and downs for the man with the golden locks, but Lawrence was able to head into the bye week with two great performances that show his maturity and growth as a player. It's undeniable that quarterback play has the largest impact on an NFL team and I believe the Jaguars are on the verge of seeing Lawrence elevate this franchise to greater heights. Trevor Lawrence at this point isn't even comparable to the rest of his draft class(yes, I include Justin Fields in that statement) and it's clear that as we all expected Jacksonville still made the right pick. Fans can rest easy knowing that even if this team can't flip this season around and make a postseason big, the Jaguars are setting up for a potential golden age debuting in 2023 and beyond!
Last But Not Least, Jaxson de Ville Is An Elite Mascot

Players come and go, coaches get replaced, and even owners ride off in the sunset, but the Jacksonville Jaguars will always have the greatest mascot on the face of the earth, JaxHIM de Ville.
