A Miraculous Run Continues For The Jacksonville Jaguars As They Climb Back To .500
Very few people would've predicted the Jaguars to charge back into the playoff race after a 2-6 start. After all, only a handful of teams have done it in the history of the NFL. After next week, the Jaguars may be joining that list after demolishing the Texans by a score of 31-3. This marks their first victory against Houston since December of 2017, over five years ago.
Even though there were flaws in today's game, this win means so much to the Jacksonville franchise. The Jaguars have demolished every bad streak they'd built over the last few years ranging from the west coast woes, the nightmares in Nashville, NFC losses, and finally against the Houston Texans. Doug Pederson wanted to rebuild the culture in Jacksonville and there shouldn't be any doubt that he's done just that in the first year.
Jaguars Face Their Biggest Game Of The Year In Week 18 Against Tennessee

Every win since the bye week has led to giving the Jaguars a chance to win the division in Week 18. If they weren't able to get it done, it would be all for not. Let's get something right though. These are not the same old Jaguars that caused fans to get mental counseling. This team has embarked on a tough journey to get here and has proven that they're going to be a force to be reckoned with in the AFC for the foreseeable future.
Week 18 couldn't be much more of a nightmare for the Tennessee Titans now. They'll enter with a six-game losing streak on the road against one of the hottest teams in the NFL right now. They'll undoubtedly be facing a much larger disadvantage with injuries than the Jaguars will face and are forced to start either Malik Willis or Joshua Dobbs. Both starters have done little to give fans reason for faith and will likely cause this game to hinge on Derrick Henry.
The matchup against Tennessee provides the perfect opportunity for Jacksonville to rewrite the story of the AFC South. It's no secret that the Jaguars have faced unspeakable defeats at the hands of the Titans in the past, and just in the past years it's been all about Tennessee. However, the tide has turned and it's time for a change of the guard. If Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars can finish the season with a victory against the Titans, they'll usher in a new era of football in North Florida.
